Full Moon Self-Care Ritual

Ever since I started my spiritual journey and started to get in tune with the Moon and her cycles I find it as a perfect moment for me to stick and follow my self care routine.

The Full Moon is tomorrow and I’m excited to be finally sharing my favorite rituals through this blog! This is the first official blog post that I put out to share a bit more of the things I like to do and that I practice.

If you have come here for the first time, welcome! I am a Medicine Woman, Spiritual Herbalist, and Holistic Wellness Guide, just to name a few of the many things. You can learn more about my journey.

One of my favorites things to do during the Full Moon to care for myself is to take baths. There are many baths types and for the Full Moon I love herbals bath salts. It seems simple enough but bath salts using Epsom salt, Himalayan salt or sea salt is a beautiful way to relax and absorb the magical energy of the Full Moon. Not only, is salt naturally purifying but also helps with relaxing the muscles. I love adding medicinal herbs to add to the potency of the healing and the intention that I’m creating at that moment, as well as add essential oil to create a full sensory relaxing experience.

Tomorrow’s Full Moon in Native American traditions is called the Hunter’s Moon believed to be signaling the time to hunt to get ready for Winter. This Full Moon astrologically is in Aries, I am not much an astrologer but from what I know, this Full Moon is calling for working with love and relationships.

The Hunter’s Full Moon has been believed to be the Moon to signal time for hunting and getting ready for the Winter. With this intention on mind of “getting ready” and “hunting” this herbal bath salt blend recipe give you a relaxing yet invigorating feeling. This blend includes herbs eucalyptus and rosemary because of their overall benefits. Eucalyptus is known for it’s properties of relaxing the mind and aid the respiratory system. Similarly, Rosemary properties it’s believe to help clear the mind and bring clarity as well promoting overall cognitive health. Both eucalyptus and rosemary in the spiritual sense work have been use for cleansing and purifying the energies making it perfect combination for invigorating energies.

Hunter’s Full Moon Herbal Bath Recipe:

*Optional-Drops of eucalyptus and rosemary essential oil.

Add all ingredients into a bowl and mix. You ca store in jar (make sure the jar doesn’t have a metal lid because the salt will cause corrosion).

Once you have made your Full Moon Herbal Bath blend together, set the mood but lighting some candles, putting music, enjoy your bath by feeling all the benefits of the Herbal Bath blend and setting intentions for the Full Moon, thanking the moment as well as releasing from your body anything that you are holding and welcoming new feelings and sensations to that particular area.

This is simple yet powerful self-care ritual to set time for yourself. You will love how you feel afterwards and will put yourself first during the Full Moon.

I would love to know if you give this Herbal Bath Recipe a go and how you feel afterwards or if you try any of the other blend I have available at the apothecary.

Happy Hunter’s Full Moon!
